This study evaluates the impact of motivation on the productivity and job performance of employees in the banking sector, focusing on Polaris Bank, Ede Branch. Motivation is a critical factor influencing employee performance, particularly in the banking industry, where productivity directly affects customer satisfaction and organizational success. The research examines key motivational factors such as salary, benefits, recognition, job security, and career advancement opportunities. Using a quantitative research design, data was collected through structured questionnaires distributed to 23 employees at Polaris Bank. The findings reveal a significant correlation between employee motivation and productivity, with employees who reported higher levels of motivation also demonstrating improved job performance. Furthermore, the study highlights existing motivation strategies employed by Polaris Bank and identifies areas for improvement, including the need for enhanced recognition programs and better communication of career advancement opportunities. The study concludes with recommendations for banking institutions to prioritize employee motivation strategies to boost productivity and overall performance.
