Empirical Study of Auditing Standards and Fiinancial Performance of Quoted Nigerian Manufacturing Firms.

The research work focuses on an empirical study of auditing standards and financial performance of quoted Nigerian manufacturing firm using coca cola company. The main objective of the study is to ascertain the effect of adherence to auditing standards on the financial performance of Nigerian manufacturing firms and to examine the significance relationship between return on asset (ROA) and the financial performance of Nigerian manufacturing company. The research method for this study is expost factor, data for the study were gathered from both primary and secondary sources. The hypotheses was tested using anova regression formula. The population of the study is 400 out of which 200 were selected as the sample size using taro Yamane formula. The finding revealed that Audit standard (AUSTAND) and Return on Asset (RoA) have a significant impact on financial performance of Coca Cola Plc. . Firms that adhere to auditing standards are more likely to attract investors and lenders due to increased transparency and reliability of financial information, this improves access to capital and financing, leading to enhanced financial performance. Auditing standard promote better corporate governance practices which can lead to improved decision -making professing and accountability, ultimately benefiting financial performance. The study recommends that the Management of quoted firms in Nigeria should ensure that the firms adhere strictly to auditing standards as this will enhance their financial performances. It is recommended that the management of quoted firms should employ the services of auditors who are conversant with all the auditing standards as this will enhance good performance.
