Determination of the Ocular Health Status Among Secondary Schoolstudents of Abagana, Anambra State.

Abstract
Ocular disorders among secondary school students is a significant leading cause of visual impairment and blindness thus it’s avoidance, prevention and treatment is of utmost importance. The aim of this study is to determine the ocular health status among secondary school students of Abagana, Anambra State. The descriptive cross sectional study determined the ocular health status among secondary school students in Abagana, Anambra State. A structured WHO/PBL eye examination questionnaire was completed by 2092 students selected by random sampling. Data was analyzed using statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) version 26.0 to establish percentages, the respondents ages ranged from 11 years to 19 years. Results showed that the most prevalent ocular disorder was vernal conjunctivitis 61(48.1%) followed by refractive error 14(11.0%). The highest number of ocular disorder 61(48.0%) occurred more in males than in females and also occurred in the age group 11 to 15 years The number of secondary school students with a visual acuity
