Assessing the Strategies of Production Planning and Inventory Control in Hospitality (a Study of Asaa Pyramid Hotel Kaduna)

Abstract

The study aimed to assess the production planning and inventory control strategies at Asaa Pyramid Hotel Kaduna. The objective of the study are: to evaluate the effectiveness of the current production planning strategies at Asaa Pyramid Hotel, to examine the inventory control systems used by Asaa Pyramid Hotel and their impact on operational efficiency, to identify the challenges associated with inventory control and production planning at the hotel, and to propose recommendations for improving production planning and inventory control at Asaa Pyramid Hotel. Various literature related to the study were synthesized to ascertain their relevance to the s the subject matter. The study used descriptive statistics and a samples size of 50 was used for the study. Questionnaire were administered to the staff of Asaa Pyramid Hotel. The study found that Proper PPC can significantly reduce operational costs by minimizing waste, reducing labor inefficiencies, and optimizing inventory management. It was also concluded that Effective production planning and control play a crucial role in optimizing operational costs it was recommended among others that Conduct regular training programs for staff involved in PPC operations to improve their skills and adapt to technological advancements.
