Impact of Remuneration Packages on Employee Performance in Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited, Kaduna

ABSTRACT

This research was conducted on “the impact of Remuneration Packages on Employee
Performance in Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited Kaduna”. The objective of this
study is to examine the impact of remuneration package on employee performance.
The population of the study was one hundred and fifty (150) staff of Peugeot
Automobile Nigeria Limited Kaduna. While the sample size of the study was one
hundred and eight (108). The research was based on using simple random sampling
technique. The instrument used for data collection is a self-designed structured
questionnaire. The data was analyzed with the help of mean statistical technique. The
researcher adopted the mean statistics as the statistical tool for analyzing data
collected. The study provides an insight into the impact of remuneration on
employees’ productivity using Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited (PAN) Kaduna.
Furthermore, the study concluded that common reward packages available in
organizations under study includes; recognition of achievement, cash bonus, salaries
and wages, good working conditions such as good conducive and comfortable office,
transport, staff quarters and food stuffs. Hence, the study recommended that equity
should be ensured while implementing remuneration in organization. Also,
management should try to identify workers expectation and minimize variation of the
reward implemented.
