Fund Allocation on Management of Facilities in Secondary School in Ibaji Local Government Area of Kogi State, Nigeria

Abstract
This study was carried out to investigate the Funds Allocation on Management of Facilities in secondary schools in ibaji local government Area of kogi state, Nigeria. Three objectives were perstulated inline with the research questions and hypothesis. Among which are to: determine the impact of fund allocation and management of instructional facilities, infrastructural facilities and welfare facilities in secondary schools in ibaji local government area of kogi state, Nigeria. Relevant literature were reviewed related to this study. The study used Descriptive survey. The total population of the study is 560 form which 200 respondents were used for the sample study,that is 24 principals 166 teachers and 10 MOE officials. The instrument used for the data collection was structured questionnaire titled "Fund Allocation On Management Of Facilities in secondary schools Questionnaire ( F A M F S S Q )". The instrument was validated by the supervisor and other experts in Measurement and Evaluation. The pilot study was conducted with reliability index of 0.062 realized which shows that the instrument is reliable. Analysis of variance (A N O V A ) was used for the data Analysis. The study found that facilities such as instructional, welfare and infratructural are provided and well mantained in the schools. The study concluded that adequate provision and management of facilities aid student's effective counseling and also help students to perform well academically. The study therefore, recommends that Kogi state government should at least allocate 10 -15% of annual budget to education for adequate and effective facilities in public secondary schools in Kogi State of Nigeria.
