A Survey of Electronic Information Resources Utilization Among Students in Selected Polytechnics in Kwara State.

ABSTRACTS
This research work is carried out to investigate the survey of electronic information resources utilization among students in selected polytechnic in kwara state. Federal Polytechnic Offa, and Lens Polytechnic Offa, Kwara state were purposively selected for this study. Social survey design was adopted and the study population consisted of 1300 students from both Polytechnics.
Proportionate to size sampling technique was used to select 10% of the total population. Therefore 130 respondents were selected for the study. Questionnaire was the main instruments for data collection. Statistical tools such as Statistical Package for the Social Sciences were used to analyze data collected from the respondents. The outcome of findings reveals that pour
internet connectivity, lack of relevant e-resources in various discipline, erratic power supply and lack of technical were the major challenges faced by the respondents, The utilization of electronic resource has no doubt contributed meaningfully to the information acquisition for class work, assignment, personal purpose and research needs of the students the study concluded
that student make access to electronic resources but not excellently it was recommended among others that student should be orientated on the use of electronic resources in the library. Keywords: Polytechnics, survey, utilization, electronic resources.
