Abstract
Samples from clinical environment were investigated for the presence of Staphylococcus aureus using standard microbiological techniques and the staphylococcal load of the samples ranged from the total staphylococcal count ranged from 3.2×104 to 6.0×106. The isolated Staphylococcus aureus strains were characterized based on colonial morphology, microscopic morphology, and biochemical tests. They were identified as Staphylococcus aureus based on their characteristic features, such as yellow color, raised elevation, and round shape, as well as positive reactions in catalase and coagulase tests Staphylococcus aureus is one of the most important pathogens and is responsible for various infections, such as wound infections and toxins-mediated syndromes as well as systemic and life-threatening diseases. Also the identification of Staphylococcus aureus in clinical samples underscores the ongoing challenges posed by healthcare-associated infections. Understanding the epidemiology and characteristics of Staphylococcus aureus strains can inform targeted infection control strategies to mitigate the risk of transmission and infection within healthcare facilities.
