The Impact of Leadership Syles on Workers Performance in Public Organization (a Study of Akwa Ibom State Civil Service Commission, Uyo)

Abstract
It is becoming very important for any business organization to strive meaningfully towards goal achievement, and for this target to be attained, the style of leadership practice in such establishment is very important. This study takes a critical examination of the impact of leadership style and how employee performance should be evaluated and appraised to achieve efficiency. The sources of data used are both primary and secondary with the leap of questionnaire administered to about three hundred staff of Akwa Ibom State Civil Service Commission which make up sample size, majority of the data collected, analyzed and interpreted using the Yard formula. N-W and the Pearson's product. It N(e) moment correlation coefficient (r) and the T-test formula. Hence, the researcher observed that practicing democratic leadership style in any organization enhance the employee's (subordinate) the sense of belonging and thereby recommend that in any establishment being it public or a private for proper utilization of a given potential.
