Cultism and Political Violence in Rivers State from 2015 to 2023

Abstract
This study is set out to examine the impact of cultism and political violence in Rivers state, 2015-2023. The study made use of secondary data which is gotten from books and literatures and primary data from field work. The study employs the elite theory as its theoretical framework. The theory was helpful in analyzing and explaining political violence. Due to the excessive ambition of the political elites and the need to acquire power at all cost, most of the elite have deploy violence as means of achieving power.
