Impact of Corporate Social Responsibility on Customer Satisfaction

Abstract
ABSTRACT
This research work was carried out to examine the Impact of Corporate Social Responsibility
(CSR) on Customer Satisfaction with reference to Ospoly Microfinance Bank (MFB). The specific objectives are to; investigate whether CSR acts as a tool for successful marketing and determine the effect of CSR on customer satisfaction. The primary data was employees through the use of questionnaire. The entire workforce of Ospoly Microfinance Bank was considered as the population of the study totaling fifty-six (56) workers. Simple random sampling technique was adopted to select thirty-five (35) employees who were the respondents for the questionnaire distributed. Product Moment Correlation Techniques was used to examine the relationship between CSR and customer satisfaction. The findings revealed that there was a significant positive relationship between CSR and customers perception. The study also revealed a positive impact of CSR on customer satisfaction. It was concluded that Ospoly microfinance bank should not have profit motive alone, but should have consideration for other stakeholders such as employees, customers and community with the use of CSR tools to benefit all of them. It was recommended that Ospoly Microfinance bank should draw its attention towards engaging in CSR activities, and also to improve its customer care service.
