Lessons Derived from Qur’anic Verses of Surstul Ahqaf (verse 1 – 20) for Contemporary Muslims.

ABSTRACT
The research titled “Lessons derived from verses 1-20 of suratu Al-ahqaf fr contemporary
Muslims Ummah”, was categorized into chapters. The chapter one consist of background of the
study, statement of the problem, significance of the study, aim and objectives, research questions,
scope and limitation, methodology of the research, review of some selected literatures. The
second chapter contains the concept of the Qur’an, definition of the Qur’an, names of the
Qur’an, revelation of the Qur’an, stages of Qur’anic revelation, wisdom behind gradual
revelation of the Qur’an, chapter three comprises an Overview of Suratu al-ahqaf, names of the
Surah, numbers of the verses, place and period of revelation, theme of the Surah, virtues of the
surah, reasons for the revelation of the surah, Arabic text and commence of scholars on the
selected verses, while chapter four highlight the derivable lessons from verses (1-20) of suratu
al-ahqaf for contemporary Muslims Ummah, then conclusion, summary, findings of the research
are; the glorious Qur’an warns people to avoid sins, to increase their faith with righteous deed,
some people neglect glorifying Allah, they spent most of their time on social media, the Glorious
Qur’an warns people not report its teachings, the glorious instructs Muslims to virtuous to their
parents, Muslims recognise Allah as creator, Sustainer and the Owner of the universe but yet
some are loving someone other than Allah due to assistance or benefit getting.
