Abstract

The research work was concluded to examine the geometric design of a general highway in Enugu State,focusing on road alignment,vertical and horizontal curves,traffic considerations,and safety measures.A well-designed road network is essential for improving transportation,reducing travel time,and enhancing road safety.The study employed engineering design principles,topography analysis,and traffic surveys to determine the best alignment for the highway.Various alternative routes were assessed based on on factors such as cost-effectiveness,environmental impact,and safety considerations.
