Abstract
ABSTRACT
"Employees' inclination to work within an organization is often influenced by the alignment of their individual values with those of the organization, making it crucial to consider the effects of this alignment on employee performance, which in turn significantly impacts organizational effectiveness and efficiency. This study investigates the Effects of Person-Job Fit and Supervisor Support on Employee Performance within a tertiary institution in Mubi North Local Government, Adamawa State, specifically focusing on casual workers. Employing an explanatory research design, the study collected data from a sample of 100 employees, primarily cleaners and security personnel, using closed-ended questionnaires comprising personal data and research-related questions. The findings reveal direct relationships between Person-Job Fit, Supervisory Support, and Employee Performance, leading to several recommendations. Organizations are advised to involve supervisors in hiring and task allocation processes, nurture healthy relationships between supervisors and employees, and consistently maintain positive relationships to foster better Person-Job Fit and improved employee performance."
