Abstract
Soil-transmitted helminths (STHs) represent a major public health issue, particularly among young adults, where they can lead to malnutrition, anemia, and impaired cognitive development, ultimately affecting academic performance and overall health. This study aims to assess the prevalence of STH infections among university undergraduates. A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 115 students, selected through multi-stage sampling. Stool samples were collected and analyzed for STH eggs using microscopy. In addition, questionnaires were used to gather data on demographics, hygiene practices, and knowledge of STH prevention.
