Abstract

This project titled “Design and Construction of a 10KVA Single Phase Automatic Changeover with Embedded Auto ON and OFF with Starter” aims to address power interruptions in homes and offices by introducing an automatic changeover switch system with embedded auto on and off features. The system is designed to perfectly switch between power sources, ensuring uninterrupted power supply during outages from the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) or other sources.
The device is engineered to efficiently manage power distribution. A generator is used as an alternative source in the absence of PHCN supply. It operates quietly and does not produce hazardous carbon monoxide, making it safe for use in various settings.
Furthermore, this low-cost solution aims to alleviate the challenges posed by frequent power outages in industries, hospitals, schools, and homes, ultimately contributing to the eradication of power failures in both residential and industrial settings.
