Abstract
This study examined the effects of flexible work arrangements, leave arrangements, and social support on work quality, employee creativity, and innovation in deposit money banks in Unilorin.. By employing quantitative approach, 82 staffs of First Bank, Guarantee Trust Bank (GTB), Polaris Bank, Zenith Bank, and United Bank for Africa (UBA). were chosen using Taro yamane online calculation system. The study was conducted through the distribution of 82 copies of the questionnaire. The study adopted descriptive and inferential methods of analysis and all computations were done using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 27.
The findings reveal a statistically significant positive relationship between flexible work arrangements and work quality (R = 0.507, p < 0.05). The study further revealed that leave arrangements have a significant and strong positive effect on employee creativity (R = 0.804, p < 0.05). Regarding social support, the findings reveal a significant positive effect on innovation (R = 0.661, p < 0.05), indicating that employees who perceive higher levels of support from supervisors and colleagues tend to engage more in innovative behaviors. Hence, the study recommended that deposit money banks should adopt flexible work schedules, such as remote work options and flexible hours, to enhance employees’ work quality and productivity.
