The study was divided into four chapters. The study revealed that sex workis a form of labour particularly to the girls.Commercial sex work can be seen as basicallysex for money, here the end product is money making. However, despite these benefits, sex workers face systematic discrimination throughout the world and are therefore, atrisk of a variety of abuses. Furthermore, since sex work has been considered a menacein the society, the Ekpoma, Edo State through their "Child Right Law"2017 has tackedsex work from the grass root, but more is still needed to be done in order to properlycheck the increasing rate of sex workers in Ekpoma.Hence, more research should becarried out to identify the appropriate methods of sanitizing the public on sex workand the various effects on the health.
