This research explores the establishment, objectives, and activities of the Nigerian House of Poetry, focusing on its role in promoting Arabic poetic expression and cultural development in Nigeria. The study examines how the institution serves as a platform for poets to showcase their literary talents, preserve traditional poetic heritage, and encourage contemporary creativity. Furthermore, it highlights the contributions of prominent Nigerian poets associated with the House, along with selected examples of their poems that reflect themes of religion, nationalism, and moral values. The study concludes that the Nigerian House of Poetry plays a vital role in cultural preservation and education through literary arts.
