Abstract
This study investigates the effectiveness of cash management through electronic banking, focusing on how digital platforms enhance financial operations within the banking sector. The primary objective was to assess the impact of electronic banking on cash flow management, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Using a descriptive research design, the study analyzed secondary data from academic journals, government reports, and industry analyses to explore the benefits and challenges of electronic banking. The population consisted of all secondary data sources related to electronic banking and cash management, with a focus on commercial banks in Nigeria. The findings revealed that electronic banking significantly improves cash management by providing real-time transaction processing, reducing operational costs, and enhancing liquidity. However, challenges such as security concerns, infrastructure limitations, and slow customer adoption were identified. The study concludes that while electronic banking offers transformative benefits for cash management, financial institutions must invest in security, infrastructure, and customer education to fully realize its potential. Recommendations include prioritizing cybersecurity, improving digital platform usability, and expanding access to underserved communities to enhance the overall effectiveness of electronic banking in cash management.
