Abstract
This study evaluates the performance of two maize varieties under different levels of NPK fertilizer to determine the optimal fertilization strategy for maximizing yield and improving crop quality. Conducted over a growing season of 2024, the experiment involved three levels of NPK fertilizer (0,150 and 300kg/ha) application across two maize(sc-510 and sammaz 52) variety sources, with key parameters such as growth rate, chlorophyll content, plant height, and grain yield measured and analyzed. Results indicated significant differences in the performance of each maize variety under varying NPK levels, highlighting the importance of tailored fertilizer applications based on variety-specific nutrient requirements. These findings provide insights that can help farmers optimize fertilizer use for enhanced maize production and contribute to sustainable agricultural practices.
