Prevalence and Determinants of Malnutrition Among Under 5 Children in Ujemen Community, Ekpoma Edo State.

Abstract
This study assesses the prevalence and determinants of malnutrition among under-five children in Ujemen community, Ekpoma, Edo State. A cross-sectional quantitative research design was employed, with data collected through a semi-structured questionnaire and anthropometric measurements. The study involved 175 participants, selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 26, applying descriptive and inferential statistical methods, including frequencies, percentages, mean, standard deviation, and independent t-tests. A p-value of 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Findings indicate that 94.4% of the mothers were young adults, 96.8% were married, and 88.9% were employed.
