Abstract
In the present investigation, Bacillus spp., Stuphylococcus species was the bacteria isolated and identified from various air samples collected from Microbiology and Physics Laboratory while Candida albicans, Schizosaccharomyces was the yeast isolated and identified from the air sample sites. The heterotrophic bacteria counts revealed that the microbiology laboratory had a count ranging between 120 x 103 and 255 x 10-1
. The
heterotrophic fungi counts revealed that the microbiology laboratory had a count ranging between 19 x103 and 63 × 10-3
• The isolation of Bacillus spp. and Staphylococcus spp. is
of great concerned from epidemiological point of view in that they are potential pathogenic organisms that could be responsible for various types of bacteria infections while the isolation of Candida albicans from microbiology laboratory is of public health concern as the organism is hazardous and possess threat to human life and the causative agent of Candidiasis.
