Abstract
Abstract
Neem oil, derived from the seeds of Azadirachta indica, has been a cornerstone of traditional
medicine for centuries. This comprehensive review highlights the multifaceted medicinal and health benefits of neem oil, including its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antioxidant, antiproliferative, and insecticidal properties. The oil's rich phytochemical profile, comprising limonoids, fatty acids, polyphenols, terpenoids, and steroids, contributes to its therapeutic effects.
Neem oil's potential applications in treating skin disorders, managing ectoparasites, and
preventing degenerative diseases are discussed, underscoring its significance as a natural
alternative to synthetic agents. This review aims to provide a detailed understanding of neem oil's medicinal properties and its potential uses in promoting human health and well-being.
