Design and Implementation on Crime Reporting and Control System

Abstract
It is not gainsaying to say that the world is technology driven as it is engaged by many fields in carrying out their task. Law enforcement agencies in different quarters globally are adopting the use of automated crime reporting and prevention systems for easy and accessible crime reporting and control. School crimes such as violence, drug use, vandalism, occultism, bullying, rape and theft are threat to the well-being of students and interfere with academic achievement and so, requires efficient and effective reporting and control. This necessitates the development of Crime Reporting and Control System. In developing this System, Object Oriented Analysis and Design model of software development was adopted. The systems design and analysis using tools such as entity relationship diagrams for the database and use case diagrams which describe user requirements are used. Finally, the crime reporting and control system have consists of four functional modules: Crime reporting module, Crime report retrieval module, Crime Control module and Report generation module. The application of Crime Reporting and Control System will result in reducing crime level in schools and improve academic and moral achievement.
