Abstract
ABSTRACT
The fruit popularly known as Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) is a local recipe eaten in Nigeria and African. The research was conducted to evaluate the nutritional composition and elemental content of the peels, pulp and seeds of watermelons collected from selected areas in Kaduna metropolis, using a Soxhlet extractor for fat, a Kjeldahl apparatus for protein, a Muffle furnace for ash, and an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) for mineral content.
