Abstract
ABSTRACT
This research centred on Improving Organizational Performance through Employees Job Satisfaction: a study of Federal Inland Revenue Service, Abakaliki. The study aimed at examining how praise improves employees performance in Federal Inland Revenue Service, Abakaliki how job advancement improves employees performance in Federal Inland Revenue Service, Abakaliki, To evaluate the extent to which non-monetary incentives improve employees performance in Federal Inland Revenue Service, Abakaliki. The theory of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs was used in the study. Descriptive research design was adopted. The population of this study was 180 and sample size of 124. The Data was collected using structured questionnaire as a research instrument. The data was analyzed using simple percentages and frequency. The results and findings indicated that motivation towards employee enhances adequate productivity in Federal Inland Revenue Service, Abakaliki, employees in Federal Inland Revenue Service, Abakaliki are satisfied always when they are commended for the quality of their output by their supervisors as such they tend to improve performance. The researcher recommended that the government should introduce new salary structure, wages that would be enough to encourage staff of Federal Inland Revenue Service, Abakaliki, and that all employees should be motivated to ensure they are retained and this will improve performance. In this way overall organizational productivity and effectiveness can be enhanced etc.
