Abstract
The study saw to determine the role of social media in shaping public opinion and political participation during the 2023 presidential election in nsukka local government area of enugu state Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. It has four purpose of the study and research question, the total sample and sampling technique of the study comprises of 250 students offering government as a subject. The instrument of data collection was structured questionnaire on the role of social media in shaping public opinion and pollutical participation during the 2023 presidential election in nsuka local government area. The questionnaire was validated by three expertise or from the faculty of education university of Nigerian Nsukka
