Abstract
This study entitled “Acting and Character Development Dynamics in the Films Push and Things Men Do by Royal Arts Tv sought to reveal the relationship between acting and character development.This study has bridged important gaps in the understanding of acting and character development dynamics within the Nigerian film industry, with a specific focus on the films "Push" and "The Things Men Do". It has significantly contributed to scholarly literature by addressing character development techniques, offering insights into the cultural and artistic influences on acting styles, examining audience engagement with characters, shedding light on the evolution of acting techniques, and providing a comprehensive perspective on acting and character development in Nigerian cinema. Employing a qualitative research design, the study utilizes document analysis and in-depth interviews to explore the creative processes, challenges, and decisions involved in crafting characters and performances. Thematic analysis is employed to identify patterns and themes within the data, revealing the complex interplay between acting and character development. Findings indicate that acting and character development are intricately linked, with actors drawing upon their understanding of characters to create authentic and engaging performances. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of investing in actor training and development to enhance the quality of Nigerian cinema.
