Abstract
Water is a crucial resource, yet its inefficient management often leads to wastage or scarcity. Traditional water level monitoring methods, reliant on manual oversight or imprecise mechanisms, often fail to provide accurate, real-time data. Such limitations can result in delayed reactions, property damage, or unnecessary water consumption. This project addresses these issues by designing and implementing an IoT-based water level monitoring system. Utilizing the ESP32WROOM-32UE, ultrasonic sensors, and the Blynk app, the system continuously monitors water levels in overhead tanks, providing real-time data and control options. The system automatically activates the water pump when the level falls below 5% and deactivates it upon reaching 100%, with an override button for manual operation. The LED light and LCD provide visual feedback, ensuring user awareness of tank status at all times. The methodology involves integrating IoT components with advanced programming to achieve precise measurements and efficient control. The data collected during testing demonstrate the system's ability to maintain optimal water levels, with seamless transitions between automatic and manual modes. Results show significant improvements in water management efficiency, including reduced wastage and enhanced user convenience. The system's real-time monitoring capabilities and data logging also allow for predictive maintenance and better resource planning. In conclusion, this IoT-driven water level monitoring system offers a sustainable, efficient, and user-friendly solution to traditional water management challenges, making it highly relevant for residential and industrial applications.
