Abstract

This study analyzes cybercrime and its implications on Nigeria’s economic development, with a focus on EFCC Kano. The research shows that as technology advances, new methods of cybercrime emerge, posing a serious threat to national growth and security. Despite existing laws and EFCC’s efforts, cybercrime continues to cause financial loss, discourage foreign investment, and damage Nigeria’s reputation. The study recommends stronger cybersecurity laws, public awareness, and inter-agency collaboration to combat the menace and safeguard the nation’s digital economy.
