Abstract
ABSTRACT
The paper critically examined the effect of Wages and fringe benefits on the efficiency of employees of 7UP Bottling Company, Benin City, Edo State. The research design adopted in the study is survey research design which was conducted in order to generate necessary data. The population of the study consists of all the staff of the organisation under study. Sample size of 351 was drawn from the population of 2880 with the aid of Taro Yamene formula. Questionnaire was the main research instrument which was supplemented with interview. Primary and secondary sources constituted method of data collection. The hypotheses were tested with the aid of x statistics. The finding of the analysis showed that wages and fringe benefits serve as motivational tool in 7UP Bouling Company. It was recommended that organisations should employ experts to handle their wages and salaries structure and review it when the need arise. Other areas for further studies were suggested.
