Abstract
AbstractThis study investigated the effectiveness of the Yugal Remedial Model in improving themathematical problem-solving skills of senior secondary school students in Ekiti State, Nigeria. The study employed a quasi-experimental design, with two groups: an experimental groupexposed to the Yugal Remedial Model and a control group receiving traditional instruction. Datawere collected through pre- and post-tests on mathematical problem-solving skills. The resultsrevealed that students in the experimental group demonstrated significantly higher gains inmathematical problem-solving skills compared to the control group. The findings suggest thatthe Yugal Remedial Model holds promise as an effective intervention for enhancingmathematical problem-solving abilities among senior secondary school students in Ekiti State. The study recommends the integration of the Yugal Remedial Model into the existingmathematics curriculum to improve student learning outcomes.
