Impact of Training and Development on the Employees Productivity (a Case Study of Pz Nigeria Ltd,benin City)

Abstract
ABSTRACTThe research examined the Impact of Training and Development on EmployeesProductivity using PZ Nigeria Plc, Benin City as a Survey Study. The major objectiveof this study is to discover the Effects of Training and Manpower Development andhow it contributes to worker’s productivity. The work has equally centered on Trainingand Development. In order to achieve the objectives questionnaire was design andhypothesis formulated. The research study was design to be current in both descriptiveand empirical in value. The sample is representative of the population from which it isdrawn and the sampling method adopted is sample random sampling. The populationof the study is one hundred (100) while the sample size was seventy-three (73) of therespondents researcher used primary and secondary mode of data collection. Theresult of the analysis revealed that organization now accepts that training does not endwith the initial orientation carried out for newly employed staffs, and that developmentis a management tool that should be skillfully planned and executed to improve theperformance. It was recommended among others that companies should continue toencourage their staffs to participate in training and development programme and thatcompanies should pay more attention to the promotion policy of the organization andalso the companies should vote a reasonable proportion of its profit to training anddevelopment of its staffs.
