Abstract
This study assessed the bacteriological quality of water samples from the College of Agriculture Science and Technology and it's Livestock complex, Lafia, Nasarawa State, Nigeria. The water samples were analyzed for the presence of E. coli, Pseudomonas, and Shigella. The results showed that 50% of the water samples (LCT-1 and LCT-2) were contaminated with E. coli, while 25% of the samples (ABCA) contained Pseudomonas. Additionally, 50% of the samples (BHCA and ABCA) were contaminated with Shigella. These results indicate that the water samples do not meet the World Health Organization (WHO) standards for drinking water quality. The study highlights the need for improved water treatment and monitoring protocols to ensure the safety of drinking water. The findings of this study have significant implications for public health and water quality management in Nigeria.
