Abstract
ABSTRACTThe project aimed to design and develop manual four-shaft table looms and treadle looms for Aso-oke production. The loom was designed to enhance the efficiency, quality, and versatility of Aso-oke production. The study will involve a comprehensive analysis of Aso-oke weaving techniques, loom design and construction, and ergonomic considerations to ensure the looms' usability and functionality. The team successfully built new four shaft table and treadle looms that represents an improvement on existing equipment in the studios as well as increase access to equipment to meet the increasing demands for equipment. This study highlights the importance of design innovation in preserving a lifelong culture.
