Problems and Prosfects of Teachng and Learning Integrated Science at Junior Secondary Schools in Kano State a Case Study in Nassarawa Local Government Area

Abstract
The aim of this research was to find out the Problems and prospects of teaching and learningINTEGRATED SCIENCE at junior secondary schools in Kano state. Total numbers of 31teachers were used in this study: the instrument used for data collection was questionnaireswhich were administered personally by the researchers to three randomly selected juniorsecondary schools in Kano state. The method used for data analysis was simple percentages toexamine the findings. Among the major findings for this is that, there is an adequate instructionalmaterials for teaching INTEGRATED SCIENCE in junior secondary schools in Kano State.Also there is a great difference between the performance of the students taught with improvisedmaterials and without any instructional aid. With these findings, we recommend the teachers tobe resourceful so as to improvise when the original materials are not available.
