Abstract
This study investigates the role of extension services on farmers' output in Nasarawa Local
Government Area, Nasarawa State. Agricultural extension services are vital for disseminating
modern farming practices, improving productivity, and addressing the challenges faced by
farmers. The research explores the relationship between extension services and farm
productivity by examining the accessibility, quality, and impact of extension support provided
to farmers in the region.
The analysis focuses on key variables, including the frequency of extension visits, training
programs attended, and the adoption of improved farming techniques. Results reveal a positive
correlation between access to extension services and increased crop yields, with farmers
receiving regular guidance reporting up to a 50% increase in input compared to those with
limited or no extension contact.
The study highlights the need for strengthening extension systems, addressing logistical
challenges, and enhancing farmer participation in extension programs.
