Abstract
The production of Biodiesel from waste palm oil has gained significant attention due to its potential as a renewable and sustainable alternative to fossil fuels. This study explores the use of snail shell as a catalyst in the transesterification process for Biodiesel production. The objectives of this research were to investigate the feasibility of using snail shell as a catalyst, evaluate the yield and quality of biodiesel produced, and compare the performance of snail shell catalyst with other conventional catalysts. The literature review provides an overview of Biodiesel production, the utilization of waste palm oil as a feedstock, the role of catalysts in the transesterification process, and the potential of snail shell as a catalyst. The methodology section describes the materials and equipment used, the preparation of waste palm oil, the preparation of snail shell catalyst, and the Biodiesel production process. The results and discussion section presents the yield and quality analysis of the produced Biodiesel, highlighting the advantages and limitations of using snail shell as a catalyst. The study concludes with a summary of findings, implications, and recommendations for future research in this field. Overall, this research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on sustainable Biodiesel production and explores the potential of utilizing snail shell as an eco-friendly catalyst in the process.
