Abstract
ABSTRACT This study examines the usage of e-learning technologies among 300-level students in th Faculty of Education at Gombe State University. The research assesses students awareness, availability, and frequency of use of various e-learning tools, including Google Classroom, Google Meet, Google Forms, laptops, desktops, and smartphones. A descriptive survey research design was employed, and data was collected using structured questionnaires and checklists. The study population consisted of all 300-level students in the Facultyy of Education at Gombe State University. A sample of 1 50 students was randomly selected using a stratified sampling technique to ensure adequate representation across depariments and gender. The findings reveal that smartphones and laptops are the most widely available and frequently used e-learning tools, while desktops have the lowest accessibility and usage. Google Classroom and Google Meet are the most recognized and utilized platforms among students. However, challenges such as limited internet access, lack of digital literacy, and insufficient institutional support hinder the efective adoption ofe-learning technologies. The study concludes that while wareness of e-learning tools is high, their consistent and efective usage is influenced by various socio-technical barriers. Recommendations include enhancing digital literacy programs, improving internet accessibility, and encouraging institutional policies that support the integration of e-learning tools into academic activities. These measures will help bridge the digital divide and promote more effective use of e-learning technologies at Gombe State University.
