Abstract
ABSTRACT This research study investigates the impact of the Induction Program as a tool for enhancing employee performance in the Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board. The study aims to discuss the influence of pre-induction programs, explain the impact of induct programs, and highlight the effect of post-induction programs on employee performance. The research adopted a descriptive survey design and collected primary data through a questionnaire administered electronically to a sample size of 187 participants. The findings reveal that pre-induction programs positively influence employee performance by enhancing skills, knowledge, job performance, motivation, and overall performance. Induct programs significantly enhance employee performance by providing comprehensive training and job readiness, while post-induction programs sustain and further improve employee performance. However, the study has limitations in terms of sample size and potential biases in data collection methods. Future research should address these limitations and explore additional factors. The study emphasizes the importance of well-designed induction programs in maximizing employee performance and recommends strengthening pre-induction programs, enhancing induct programs, and establishing continuous post-induction support to enhance employee performance in the organization
