Abstract
ABSTRACT This project aims at simulating and designing of a remotely controlled unmanned aerial vehicle for sowing seeds in the farmland, it’s born out of the need for more effective agricultural innovations and processes to further improve and enhance agricultural processes, while also maintaining the environment, in line with the SDGs. It start with consideration and review of existing works on the use of UAV to carry out agricultural processes, and an improvement on the existing technology. On carrying out the simulation and design, a novel seed planter is developed with the mechanical part connected to a speed controller integrated into the flight controller as a fifth motor, such that the speed of the seed planter is proportional to the speed of the UAV. The UAV is also tested at various level, to produce a graph from the simulation, which showed that when the drone is given multiple command at same time, it can throw it of balance and signal can be lost, as the receiver is a programmed ESP 32 dev kit. The outcome of this project will have significant effect on agriculture as it increases the speed at which seeds are sow in commercial agriculture, and also reduce cost as less labor is needed.
