Abstract

The Federal Polytechnic Mubi Staff Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society (FPM SMCS) plays a crucial role in enhancing the financial stability and welfare of its members. However, the current manual management system is inefficient, prone to errors, and lacks transparency, leading to delays in transaction processing, inaccurate financial reporting, and accountability concerns. This project addresses these challenges by designing and implementing an Information Management System (IMS) to automate and streamline cooperative operations. The project adopts an agile development model, ensuring flexibility and iterative improvements based on stakeholder feedback. The system features modules for member registration, savings management, loan processing, and financial reporting, all integrated into a secure, user-friendly platform. Key outcomes include improved operational efficiency, enhanced transparency, reduced errors, and real-time access to financial records for members.
