Abstract
This project titled Leveling Survey of part of University of Benin Using Least Square Adjustment focuses on determining precise elevation data of the area along River Ethiope Road to UBTH Back Gate within the University of Benin. The leveling survey was carried out to obtain height differences between various points, which are essential for engineering design, construction, and drainage planning. The data collected from the field were adjusted and analyzed using the Least square Adjustment (LSA) method, a statistical technique that minimizes errors and improves the accuracy of measurements. The adjustment helped to correct minor discrepancies in observations and provided reliable elevation values for the surveyed points. The project demonstrates the importance of precise leveling and the application of least squares in achieving accurate and dependable survey results for engineering and mapping purposes.
