Abstract
ABSTRACT The orle River Bridges at Aviele are aging structures that have been subjected to a range of defects such as corrosion, delamination and spalling, that threaten their integrity and safety. This paper presents an investigation of the defects in these bridges and proposes remedial measures that can be implemented to improve their durability and extend their service life. The investigation employs a variety of techniques, including visual inspection, Schmidt hammer testing and core sampling to assess the extent and severity of the defects. Based on the findings, the paper proposes a range of remedial measures that are tailored towards addressing the specific defects observed in the bridges.
