The Influence of Strike Action on Employees Performance and Productivity (a Study of Delta State Polytechnic,otefe-Oghara)

Abstract
The focus of this study is on the influence of strike actions on employee's performance and productivity.The objective of the study is to determine the effect of strike on productivity and to determine the effects of strike on employees performance in an organization.The data collected were analyzed by the use of tabulation,percentage and chi-square (X).In calculating chi-square,the level of significance was given as 0.05 from the research so far,we drew some relevant findings,that there is significant influence of strike actions on emplovee's performance and productivity in an organization.It was recommended that workers should be well paid so that they can meet their daily needs and it should not be delayed for any reason at all and the government should stop using threats on the employees as a solution to strike action rather they should use dialogue to bring a lasting solution.
