Abstract
This study investigates copyright and intellectual property protection strategies in digital repositories of federal libraries in North Central Nigeria. Using a quantitative case study of five universities, data were gathered through questionnaires from 76 staff members. Results show limited policies, low user awareness, and weak enforcement of digital rights management systems. Recommendations include standardizing copyright policies, enhancing user education, strengthening DRM systems, and fostering collaboration among libraries and stakeholders to protect intellectual property and uphold academic integrity.
