The Impact of Work Environment on Employees Productivity in an Organization (a Case Study of Uyi Grand Hotel and Suites, Auchi)

Abstract
This research examined the impact of work environment on employers productivity using Uyi Grand as a case study, Auchi as a case study. The objective of this research was to find out how work environment affects employee performance, to examine how work environment affects the morale and interpersonal relationship among the employees and to ascertain how work environment affects profitability and the work itself in the organization. In Order to achieve the objective of this research, the research adopted the survey research design technique where questionnaires were designed and distributed lo the selected respondents. The selected respondents were selected through the use of simple random sampling techniques. Findings of this research revealed that Unconducive working organizational climate reduces workers' producrivity. Such factors as noise, technology, heat, lighting and taste design. In any organization, if the appropriate equipment need are not adequately provided, there is bound to be discomfort both physical and mental fatigue. All these will result in low productivity in the organization. It was recommended that Manogement shouid also encourage informal group in the organization as it would motivate workers to put more effort on their work. In final analysis, it could be seen that salary plays an important role on the morale of workers such as workers should be properly paid as to enhance their productivity.
