The Influence of Agricultural Extension Agent on Retail Egg Marketers in Ungoggo L.g.a of Kano State

Abstract
ABSTRACT The survey studied “The influence of agricultural extension agent on retail egg marketers in Ungoggo Local Government Area of Kano state, Nigeria”. The data were collected with well- structured questionnaires and linear regression model. The result of the review shows that most (78%) of the respondents are males, with high number of the (78%) in their active age (26- 50). Most (44%) attended secondary education, about 67% have marketing experience within 1- 5 years and (72%) are married. The survey shows that the retail egg marketing is profitable as an average growth margin of ₦305.45 per crate and ₦26,192.34 is obtained for average number of crates sold in a week. Also, for every naira (₦ 1) invested in egg marketing, ₦0.25k is gotten as profit. The business also gives a marketing margin of 22% indicating the business is profitable.
