Abstract
This research work is meant to investigate the variation of acceleration due to gravity “g” at ten different sites within the old campus of Bayero university Kano using the simple pendulum method. The result shows that value of “g” is not constant but varies from place to place due to several factors such as latitude, elevation, density variation etc. we found that the average value of “g” within this sites is 10.00 m/s². These findings have important applications in geophysics, engineering, and planetary science, enhancing our understanding of Earth's gravitational field and its impact on natural and man-made structures.
